From the outset, this brief was a departure from the quiet, coastal palette so often expected of a Northern Beaches home. Instead, the clients came to Woods & Warner asking for something bolder — an interior that reflected who they actually are; playful, energetic, and entirely unafraid of colour. They didn’t want a home that simply looked beautiful. They wanted one that felt joyful to live in, every single day. That brief gave Woods & Warner creative licence — the freedom to move beyond a safe, neutral scheme and design a home with genuine personality. Bold colour choices, layered pattern and a willingness to take risks most clients shy away from became the language of the project. Material choice was where this brief really came to life. In the kitchen, Fibonacci terrazzo was laid underfoot in a warm-flecked tone — a material chosen specifically for its ability to hold colour and movement without competing with the surrounding scheme. Its organic, playful pattern echoes the confidence of the space around it, grounding the cabinetry, curved mosaic island, and verdant stone splashback in something tactile and lived in. The result is a home full of energy and life — vibrant, characterful, and unmistakably a reflection of a family who never wanted to blend in.
